FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

The Coralville Community Food Pantry is excited to team up with Iowa Women’s Basketball stars Sydney Affolter, Taylor McCabe, and Lucy Olsen for a special fundraising campaign. From Monday, July 8 to Friday, August 2, Sydney, Taylor, and Lucy will be encouraging Hawk fans to donate $20 or more for a chance to play the two in a friendly game of H-O-R-S-E. All donations will generously be DOUBLED by Hills Bank (up to $12,500). Together, we’re hoping to raise $20,000 to support our neighbors facing hunger.

In-person meet & greet

An in-person Meet & Greet event with Sydney and Taylor will take place at the Coralville Community Food Pantry (804 13th Ave) on Friday, August 2 from 3-4:30pm, with the game of H-O-R-S-E taking place immediately after. Visitors for the Meet & Greet are encouraged to bring a donation of $20+ or 2-3 health items to donate (menstrual products, diapers, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.) in exchange for a selfie or autograph with the players.

Note about H-O-R-S-E game: all individuals who donate online by Tuesday, July 30 at 11:59pm will have a chance to have their name drawn to participate in the game with the athletes. Every double digit gift ($20+) gets you one entry into the drawing, a three digit gift ($100+) gets you three entries, and four digit ($1000+) gifts gets you four entries.

Meet & Greet Update: Due to her recent invitation to participate on the 3x3 Women’s U23 National Team, Lucy Olsen will not be available for the Meet & Greet event. Stay tuned for info about special items signed by Lucy we’ll have available to win.
